FlipScan ("we", "us") helps you turn household items into Marketplace listings by analyzing photos with AI. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Photos and videos you scan. Images are sent to our AI provider to identify the item and suggest a price. We do not retain images on our servers after the listing is generated, unless you are signed in and choose to save the scan.
- Account info (signed-in users only). Email, display name, and avatar URL from your sign-in provider (e.g. Google). We never see your password.
- Saved scan history (signed-in users only). The listing text, a thumbnail, and any notes you add are stored so you can revisit them.
- Guest scan counter. If you use FlipScan without signing in, we store a daily scan counter in your browser's localStorage. Nothing is sent to us.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not show ads or use third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not share your photos with anyone except the AI provider needed to generate the listing.
Camera and photo access
FlipScan requests access to your device camera and photo library only when you tap "Take photo" or "Upload". We do not access them in the background.
Deleting your account
Signed-in users can permanently delete their account and all saved scans from the Account page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Children
FlipScan is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
